Portrait Painting

Here’s another Photoshop painting I’ve been working on. I’m using a very old photo of my little sister as a reference for painting her. I’m loving how it looks so far, just hope I can find time to finish it! see more…

Figure Studies

Figure Studies

I like sketching a few quick figure studies whenever I need a break from homework. When I get completely wrapped up in one and find myself helplessly drawing until 4AM, voilà a painting is born! So, I’m thinking this one might have potential. see more…

Another beautiful country-style wedding! Everything from the bundled wheat boutonnières to Liz’s little silver cowboy boot earrings was absolutely perfect. see more…

A Little Soul

A Little Soul

My favorite kind of pictures are portraits. Something about the faces- a little glitter in the eyes, the subtle colors you don’t notice in the rush of real life… in Mexico, they tell the children not to let strangers photograph them because the photos will capture their souls; but I don’t think a little soul in a snapshot is a bad thing at all. see more…

Acrylic Painting

This is actually a painting I was working on this past winter. I never decided it was finished and it got lost in the back of my closet… but since I found it, I kind of like it the way it is. see more…

Autumn’s Senior Portraits

Autumn’s Senior Portraits

We were in Florida for Autumn’s senior portraits. We all went to visit an old historical house right on the beach. It was beautiful! It belonged to an artist and her husband, an architect. It was laid out like a sprawling Spanish estate- with gardens, ocean views, and enormous outdoor and indoor art studios! It also had a lot of great places to take Autumn’s picture. This one was taken in an old circular hallway with one small window facing the ocean. See More >

I’ve always thought that a lot of Japanese girls have gorgeous hair- so I decided to paint a portrait! This probably took about 3-4 hours total, but the hair definitely took the longest. I drew each strand individually, no shortcuts… my hand was still cramping the next day! See More >

A Father and a Grandfather

A Father and a Grandfather

I’ve been working on these portraits for a little while now and I’ve finally finished them! Next for this project, I’ll be drawing the building in which they started their father-son business way back in 1945. See More…

Girl’s Best Friend

Girl’s Best Friend

For her birthday, Rae-Rae got something special and unique- portraits of her with her favorite dog, Boomer. I was so happy to get to be the photographer, but Raegan definitely had a tougher job than I did with keeping Boomer focused! As I discovered, he’s much stronger than he looks- but they both did great. see more…

My Trip to Atlanta

My Trip to Atlanta

I recently got to take a trip to Atlanta with my boyfriend’s family. We got to stay in a fancy hotel, eat amazing food, and swim in a pool on a roof- but the best part was getting to spend some quality time with my second family… and being able to take my camera out on an adventure : ) I got some pretty nice photos too!
